NSH Addiction Treatment founding

Our Story

NSH Addiction Treatment was established in 2013 by a group of addiction medicine professionals who saw a critical gap in Orange County's treatment landscape. They envisioned a facility that combined rigorous clinical science with the warmth and dignity every patient deserves.

From our opening day on Spectrum Center Drive, we committed to providing the full continuum of care — from medical detox through aftercare — under one roof. Thirteen years later, our center has grown to 42 beds and a team of 81 professionals, but our founding values remain at the core of everything we do.

Having guided more than 4,900 individuals through recovery, we continue to refine our programs based on the latest research while never losing sight of the person behind every diagnosis.

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver accessible, evidence-based addiction treatment that empowers individuals to build fulfilling, substance-free lives. We believe every person deserves a genuine opportunity to heal.

  • Compassion: We lead with empathy, recognizing the courage it takes to seek help.
  • Clinical Integrity: Our protocols are grounded in peer-reviewed research and best practices.
  • Individualized Care: Every treatment plan is built around the unique needs of the patient.
  • Community: Recovery extends beyond our campus — we build connections for lifelong sobriety.

Treatment Philosophy

At NSH Addiction Treatment, we view addiction as a complex medical condition requiring comprehensive, integrated care. Our philosophy combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed approaches, and 12-step facilitation into cohesive treatment plans.

We also integrate holistic therapies — yoga, meditation, art therapy, and fitness — to support whole-person healing at our campus. True recovery means building a life worth living, and our programs emphasize life skills, family reconnection, and long-term aftercare from day one.
